Should You Drink Wine Daily to Get Resveratrol Or Should You Buy Resveratrol Supplements?

You may have seen the segment on 60 Minutes talking about Resveratrol. It featured all of the newest research on the chemical compound and explained why people are getting so excited about it. Included in the segment was information about the studies conducted on mice showed Resveratrol to significantly extend lifespan and help protect against diseases such as cancer and diabetes.

However, what it doesn't tell you is that the mice in the study were given highly concentrated doses of Resveratrol. To achieve the same results, you would have to drink at least 100 glasses of wine per day!

Not only is that not at all practical (and maybe not even possible), but it would be extremely detrimental to your health, and the damage to your liver would far override any of the benefits you'd be getting from Resveratrol.

Obviously, drinking copious amounts of red wine is not the solution to our all our health problems. While red wine has been proven to be good for your heart and overall well-being, it is recommended that you stick to only one glass per day with dinner.

So to get enough of it, people have started to buy Resveratrol supplements, which contain similar high concentrations of the antioxidant as the mice received in the study. The results reported from taking these supplements are overwhelmingly positive!

People who take Resveratrol regularly enjoy weight loss without a lot of conscious effort. They also report younger-looking skin and increased vitality and endurance. Not to mention Resveratrol's impressive anti-carcinogenic and heart disease countering properties.
